Mitchell takes out Shoalhaven Heads Open

Colin Mitchell has taken out the Macey Insurance Shoalhaven Heads open after a fine round of 67

A field of 110 contested Sunday’s Macey Insurance Shoalhaven Heads Open with a contingent a golfers travelling from the ACT to compete. The winner with a fine round of four under 67 was Colin Mitchell from Links Shell Cove. Darcy Boyd kept his good run of form going to take out the runner-up spot on a countback from the Links Danny Nesbitt after both finished with even par rounds of 71. The overall nett section saw the host club take out the double with Paul Feest return a score of 84 for a nett 61. Andrew McGee was runner-up with a nett 65.

A grade gross was won by Danny Nesbitt on 71 and Gold Creek Country Club’s Nathan Rees runner-up on 75. A grade nett was won by Kiama’s Brendan Armstrong on 70 and Shoalhaven Heads golfer Robert Kelly nett 71 runner-up. The Grange’s Rohan Epe was winner of the B grade gross on a countback from Shoalhaven Heads’ Robert Walker after both returned 85. Graham Seery from Port Kembla was the nett winner on 69 and Shoalhaven Heads’ Bradley Sharpe runner-up with 72. The host club took out the quinella in the division three gross with Brett Gray 92 and Matthew Harrwood 94 taking out first and second respectively. Nett winners were Joshua Shoveller from Wollongong Golf Club with 67 and Shoalhaven Heads’ Mark Hill on 73.
